Job Description
Sheet Metal Mechanics assemble helicopters and its sub-assemblies using a variety of tools in accordance with manufacturing procedures and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.
Essential Functions and Competencies
Ability to assemble helicopters and its sub-assemblies with pneumatic tools, hand tools, drill presses, sheet metal rollers, stationary foot shears, and band saws.
Familiarity and competency with measuring tools such as torque wrenches, scales, and calipers used in the manufacturing process to meet blueprint specifications.
Perform trimming, forming, aligning, mating, fitting, and straightening on sheet metal and fiberglass. Basic knowledge of precision drilling, and installation of rivets and fasteners.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and geometric tolerances.
Basic mathematic skills include but are not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra for calculating material fabrication.
Must be capable of using calipers and basic measuring tools.
Full compliance with the Company’s DOT Antidrug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program.
Regular and predictable attendance.
Pay Range
$22.00 – $35.00/per hour
